Compounded medications are not FDA-approved finished drug products and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality. Individual results vary. All products require a prescription issued by a licensed physician following evaluation.

PacariRx FAQ: Your Questions About Online Treatment, GLP-1, NAD+, and How It All Works

Whether you’re exploring GLP-1 weight loss injections, NAD+ therapy, or just trying to understand how telehealth prescriptions work, you’ll find straightforward answers here. PacariRx is a physician-supervised telehealth platform — no waiting rooms, no guesswork. If you don’t see your question answered below, contact us and we’ll get back to you.

About PacariRx

What is PacariRx?

PacariRx is a direct-to-consumer telehealth platform that connects patients with U.S.-licensed, board-certified physicians online. If a treatment is appropriate for you, medications are prescribed and shipped directly to your door from a licensed compounding pharmacy within our network. PacariRx currently offers programs for weight loss, metabolic health, energy support, sleep, sexual health, and men’s hormonal health.

Yes. PacariRx serves patients across all 50 U.S. states. Depending on your state’s telehealth regulations, your physician interaction may be conducted via secure messaging or, in some states, a brief video consultation. Your intake process will reflect whichever format applies to your location.

No. The entire PacariRx process happens online — from your health questionnaire through to prescription and delivery. There are no in-person appointments required. If your state requires a video consultation, that is conducted through our secure telehealth portal.

PacariRx is a telehealth platform staffed by U.S.-licensed, board-certified physicians. Medications are dispensed by licensed compounding pharmacies that conduct quality control testing in FDA-registered facilities. You are never charged unless a treatment is prescribed. For questions about our compliance and licensing, visit our Telehealth Consent and Open Payments Notice.

How It Works

How does the PacariRx process work?

The process has three steps. First, complete a short online health questionnaire covering your medical history and treatment goals — this typically takes about three minutes, and no appointment is needed. Second, a U.S.-licensed, board-certified physician reviews your intake asynchronously and determines whether treatment is appropriate. Third, if a prescription is issued, your medication is filled by a licensed pharmacy and shipped directly to your door. You are never charged unless a prescription is written.

Orders are typically processed within 24 hours of the prescription being issued. Standard delivery takes 3–7 business days. Shipping is free on all prescriptions.

Yes. All PacariRx subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. For details on how cancellations and refunds are handled, review our Refund Policy and Shipping Policy.

Yes. PacariRx patients have 24/7 access to their physician through the patient portal for questions, dosing adjustments, and check-ins. Monthly check-ins are included at no additional charge for weight loss programs.

GLP-1 Weight Loss Programs

Semaglutide and tirzepatide offered through PacariRx are compounded medications prepared by a licensed pharmacy within our network. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved finished drug products. Individual results vary.

What GLP-1 medications does PacariRx offer?

PacariRx offers two compounded GLP-1 receptor agonist medications for physician-supervised weight loss: compounded semaglutide + Vitamin B6, starting at $249/month, and compounded tirzepatide + Vitamin B6, starting at $399/month. Both follow a custom dosage plan with monthly physician check-ins included. Learn more on our weight loss program page.

GLP-1 receptor agonists work by mimicking glucagon-like peptide-1, a hormone naturally released by the small intestine after eating. This hormone slows gastric emptying, reduces appetite, and supports insulin regulation. In clinical studies of the active ingredients in FDA-approved formulations, patients lost an average of approximately 15% of body weight with semaglutide and approximately 20% with tirzepatide. Compounded versions use the same active ingredients but are not the same as FDA-approved brand-name drugs and were not studied in those trials.

Both are GLP-1 receptor agonists used for weight loss, but they work through slightly different mechanisms. Semaglutide activates GLP-1 receptors only. Tirzepatide activates both GLP-1 and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) receptors, which may support additional metabolic benefits. In clinical trials of the FDA-approved formulations, tirzepatide produced higher average weight loss than semaglutide. Your physician will help determine which option is appropriate for your profile.

The Tirzepatide Microdose Program is a lower-dose alternative to the standard weight loss program, designed for patients who experienced side effects at standard doses or who want more gradual metabolic support. It starts at $199 billed every two months. Learn more on the Tirzepatide Microdose Program page.

No. The medications offered through PacariRx are compounded versions of the active ingredients — not the FDA-approved brand-name drugs. Compounded medications are prepared by licensed 503A/503B pharmacies and are not interchangeable with brand-name products. They have not undergone the same clinical trials. PacariRx does not offer Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, or Mounjaro.

Individual results vary. Clinical studies of the active ingredients in FDA-approved GLP-1 formulations have shown average weight loss of approximately 15% of body weight with semaglutide and approximately 20% with tirzepatide over the course of treatment. Most patients starting GLP-1 therapy lose approximately 1–2 pounds per week in the early phase of treatment. Your physician will set realistic expectations based on your health profile and starting point.

Eligibility is determined by a licensed physician during your intake evaluation. Generally, GLP-1 therapy is considered for adults with a BMI of 27 or higher, particularly those with weight-related health conditions. Certain medical histories or medications may affect eligibility. You will not be charged unless a prescription is issued.

NAD+ Therapy

Q: What is NAD+ and what is it used for?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell of the body. It plays a central role in cellular energy production, DNA repair, and metabolic regulation. Research has documented NAD+ decline in certain tissues as part of the aging process. Physician-supervised NAD+ injection therapy is used to support the body’s NAD+ supply — with potential benefits including improved energy, mental clarity, and metabolic support. Learn more on the NAD+ therapy page.

PacariRx NAD+ injections are self-administered subcutaneously — into the fatty tissue just beneath the skin, typically on the abdomen or thigh — using a small insulin needle and syringe. Step-by-step instructions are included with your prescription. Your physician is available through the patient portal for questions about technique or dosing.

No. Compounded NAD+ is not an FDA-approved drug product. It is prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy within PacariRx’s network and is available by prescription only following a physician evaluation. Quality control testing is conducted in FDA-registered facilities.

Yes. PacariRx patients have 24/7 access to their physician through the patient portal for questions, dosing adjustments, and check-ins. Monthly check-ins are included at no additional charge for weight loss programs.

Sleep, Sexual Health, and Men's Hormonal Health

What sleep medications does PacariRx offer?

PacariRx offers three non-controlled, non-habit-forming prescription sleep medications: Ramelteon 8mg (starting at $59/month), Trazodone 50mg (starting at $39.99/month), and Hydroxyzine (Vistaril) 50mg (starting at $39.99/month). All require a physician evaluation and prescription. Learn more on the sleep support page.

PacariRx offers prescription erectile dysfunction medications including generic sildenafil (50mg) and generic tadalafil (20mg), starting at $59 for a 12-tablet supply. A daily generic tadalafil option is also available at $39/month. All require a physician evaluation. Learn more on the sexual health page.

Enclomiphene is a prescription oral medication that supports natural testosterone production in men. It works by blocking estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, which stimulates the body’s own production of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) — and in turn, testosterone. This makes it an alternative to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for men who want to support hormone levels without suppressing natural production. Enclomiphene starts at $99/month. It is available through the men’s health treatments.

The Blood Flow Protocol is a compounded prescription combining vardenafil and tadalafil, designed to support both sexual performance and workout recovery through improved blood flow and nitric oxide signaling. It starts at $49/month. Learn more on the muscle pump and recovery page.

Compounding, Safety, and Prescriptions

What is a compounded medication?

A compounded medication is a prescription drug prepared by a licensed pharmacy specifically for an individual patient rather than mass-manufactured. Compounded medications are regulated under Section 503A or 503B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. They are not FDA-approved finished drug products, meaning they have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality in the same way as brand-name drugs. PacariRx medications are compounded by licensed pharmacies that conduct quality control testing in FDA-registered facilities.

Compounding has a long history in pharmacy practice and is regulated by state boards of pharmacy and, for 503B outsourcing facilities, by the FDA. PacariRx partner pharmacies operate under strict quality control standards. As with any prescription medication, compounded drugs carry potential side effects and should only be used under physician supervision. Your PacariRx physician will review your health history before prescribing.

No. You are never charged unless a licensed physician determines that treatment is appropriate and issues a prescription.

Dispensed prescription medications cannot be returned — this is standard practice for pharmaceutical products. If your order arrives damaged, you may be eligible for a replacement within 3 days of delivery with photo evidence. For full details, review our Refund Policy.

PacariRx is HIPAA-compliant. Personal health information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which covers data collection, use, and sharing practices. Your information may be shared with our licensed pharmacy partners and contracted physician network as required to provide your care
